Help and Questions

Help and Questions

  • Do you provide OT for NDIS participants?

Yes. We support NDIS participants across the lifespan and tailor OT supports to your goals, daily activities, and environment.

  • What areas do you cover and do you offer home visits or telehealth?

We provide services via home visits and telehealth. Contact us with your suburb and we will confirm coverage and the best service option.

  • How soon can I get an appointment?

We promise to see you in 2 weeks. Once we receive your referral details, we will offer the earliest suitable time and confirm wait times.

  • What is the cost and how is it billed (NDIS managed/self-managed/plan-managed)?

We follow the current NDIS Price Guide. Billing options include self-managed and plan-managed. We can explain service agreements, travel, and report writing before you start.

  • What information do you need before the first appointment?

Your NDIS plan (or plan dates), goals, funding management type, diagnosis/background (if available), and any relevant reports. If you have a Support Coordinator or Plan Manager, their details also help.

  • Can you help with an NDIS plan review or change of situation?

Yes. We can assess current functional needs, document risks and support requirements, and provide NDIS-aligned recommendations to support a plan review or change of situation request.

  • Do you write Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)?

Yes. We complete evidence-based FCAs that describe functional impacts, support needs, and recommendations aligned with NDIS criteria and participant goals.

  • Can you complete Assistive Technology (AT) assessments and recommendations?

Yes. We assess functional needs and safety risks, trial or compare suitable AT where appropriate, and recommend items with clear clinical justification for NDIS decision-making.

  • Can you complete Home Modification assessments and recommendations?

Yes. We assess the home environment, identify safety/access risks, and recommend practical modifications (with scope guidance where appropriate) to support safe and independent function.

  • What’s the difference between an assessment and ongoing therapy?

An assessment identifies your strengths, challenges, risks, and goals and may lead to recommendations (e.g., AT, home modifications, supports). Ongoing therapy focuses on building skills and strategies over time to improve daily function and participation.

  • How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your goals and complexity. After the initial assessment, we will recommend a tailored therapy plan outlining suggested frequency and expected timeframes.

  • Do you work with support coordinators, families, schools, or support workers?

Yes. With your consent, we collaborate with your support network to improve consistency, carryover of strategies, and real-life outcomes.

  • What outcomes can I expect, and how do you measure progress?

Outcomes are goal-based and practical (e.g., improved routines, safer showering, better community access, increased independence). We measure progress through goal tracking, session outcomes, observation, and feedback from you and your supports.

  • What reports or letters will I receive, and how long do they take?

Depending on your needs, you may receive session summaries, progress updates, FCA reports, AT recommendations, or home modification recommendations. Timeframes vary by complexity; we will confirm expected turnaround early in the process.

  • What ages/conditions do you support?

We support children, adolescents, and adults with a range of needs, including neurodevelopmental (e.g., ASD/ADHD), psychosocial disability, neurological conditions, and physical or functional impairments—focused on daily function and participation.

  • What should I do if I’m not sure what supports my plan includes?

Send us your plan (or plan dates and funding type) and we can help you understand what OT supports may be used and what options best match your goals.
